(Columbiana, AL) On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, Shelby County deputies and investigators responded to the 400 block of Alexander Road located in unincorporated Shelby County near the City of Leeds to investigate the shooting death of 16 year old Cameron Paul Daffron of Leeds, Alabama.
Investigators from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office have continued to follow up on information in this case, and on Friday, September 16, 2022, investigators arrested Kelvarius Imarion Dickerson, 18 years of age from Goodwater, Alabama, with one count of Murder and one count of Attempted Murder. He has bonds totaling $280,000 and he is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail. He is the third person to be charged in this case.
Dickerson’s arrest follows the arrest of two juveniles that were both formally charged as adults with one count of Murder and one count of Attempted Murder on September 2, 2022. Current Alabama law prohibits the release of additional identifying information on the juvenile suspects.
