- An inmate’s housing location will
determine his/her visitation time. A visitation schedule
is posted in each cell block.
- It is the responsibility of each inmate
to contact his/her family and friends to notify them of
their visitation time. If an inmate’s housing location
is changed, their visitation time will change also. The
inmate will be responsible for keeping his/her family and
friends informed of new visitation times.
- Inmates are allowed only one visitation
time period per week. All visitors must arrive during the
inmate’s scheduled visitation.
- All visitors are subject to the rules
and regulations of the Shelby County Corrections Division
and are subject to being searched before entering the facility.
- If time permits, every inmate with visitation
privileges will be allowed 30 consecutive minutes of visitation.
