The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page is open to the public for viewing and participating. The Sheriff’s Office Facebook page is not intended for communication concerning anything which requires the immediate need of a deputy, supervisor, medic, firefighter, or any other first responder, to report a crime or emergency, to report a suspected crime or suspect activity, to report a missing or endangered adult or child, to report a concern with an animal, to report a traffic accident or hazard, or for crime tips. These should all be communicated by 911 or by calling our main number, 205-669-4181. This page is not monitored 24 / 7.

All those that choose to post or comment on the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page are subject to these Terms of Use and the policies and guidelines of Facebook. Only comments consistent with these terms and those of Facebook will be allowed. The Sheriff’s Office is not responsible for and does not endorse comments posted by visitors to this page. Comments posted are not considered the opinion of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office or any of its employees. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office does not allow posting of photos or videos by anyone other than Sheriff’s Office personnel anywhere on the page.
